Club Rally goes to Countryfile Live

Some of our members went to the Countryfile Live event at Blenheim Palace, as our Rally day for this year.  We were really lucky with the weather as the day previous had been a complete washout with everyone traipsing through the mud. We were blessed with sunshine all day.  Although crowded there was plenty to see. The shows presenters were there in force providing both information and entertainment. Hopefully we all got some good shots to enter into our rally competition on 2nd January. It was a long day with the coach picking us up at 7.55am and dropping us back into Braintree at 8pm. A big thank you goes to Klarners coaches for supplying the excellent day out.

An Anual Dinner and a farewell

Our members enjoyed a great evening meal at the 'Bocking Village social Club' on Thursday 4th May. Our thanks go to the staff there who prepared and served an excellent three course meal with good large portions.  Mike Childs who, after many years service as our chairman was attending his final function with us. Mike was pleased with his gifts of a variety  of rolls of film to  assist in his new project of reviving his love of the the use of film in preference to digital.  Mike was also delighted with the trophy created in his name to be presented at our  inter-club competition each year for the best image of the night.  'THE MIKE CHILDS TROPHY'.

Another sucsessful Braintree Shield

We are please with another successful evening for the Braintree Shield. Attended by nine other Essex clubs, along with our Twin Town club in Pierrefitte near Paris, formed an excellent competition between the eleven Clubs.  This years competition was won by Witham Camera Club after a tense tie-breaker round as both Witham and Baddow finished the competition with the exactly the same top points.
