Welcome to the new season

Welcome to the start of a brand new season. Tonight we will look back at the images of last season and discuss what this season holds.  

CURVES (League round 1)

The first of our League evenings. Set subject Curves (2 images).   You can find those pleasing shapes in all forms of life, be it nature, architecture or the human form.

All our six league competition evenings are in three sections. 

Set subject 2 images, open subject 2 images, Mono 2 images.  

DECAY (League round 2)

Our second evening of League images. Lets see how the elements are treating our planet and its contents over time.

PHOTO OF THE YEAR

Get out those best images and collect a cup (or two). 

FILM TITLES (League round 3)

Link your title and the content of your image to a film title.  Dig out those old DVD's and recreate the box cover or poster. Create your own interpretation of your favourite film.

PRACTICAL EVENING  #1 

This seasons first chance to bring along your camera and try something different.

RALLY COMPETITION

After enjoying a our trip out over the summer, we see what images we captured on the day. ... 

PANEL OF SIX

Time to collaborate those images.  Six images that have a link, or tell a story, all in one panel image.

PRACTICAL EVENING  #2

A second chance this season to bring along your camera and try something different.    

MONUMENTS (League round 4)

What monument inspires you?  How can you add your interpretation to something that will be initially someone else's work, to make it your own? 

BRAINTREE SHIELD

Our chance to welcome up to ten clubs from around the area.    We pride ourselves in hosting 'The Braintree Shield', the only Monochrome interclub competition of the season.

STREET LIFE   (League round 5)

That subject that takes a lot of us out of our comfort zone.  Be brave, and get out there and ask those interesting people on the street if they mind being included in your image.  Or be stealth but be courteous to the image in your frame. Street life can create fantastic story telling if captured right.

AGM

Time to have your say on the club's future.

PAIRS  (League round 6)

Our final round and trophies are to be won.  Can you get those all important last top scoring points and grab a trophy, or even a pair?  

Double up and double down for one last push for those high scores.  

ANNUAL CLUB DINNER

Time to socialise and enjoy good food, good wine, and good company.
